ILE ILU - Roving Drumming
ILE ILU (House of Rhythm) is a women’s rhythm empowerment collective based in Sydney/Central Coast on the lands of the Gadigal, Bidjigal, and Darkinjung people.
Directed by Marina Da Silva, ILE ILU aims to connect people’s spirits to heartfelt joy, inspiration and aliveness through the beautiful pulsating rhythms of Afro-Brazilian influenced drum and dance.
Diversity is our strength, with ILE ILU artists coming from different cultural backgrounds, ages, and life experiences. Each drawing upon our unique lineages, we channel and co-create rhythms, music, and dance – inspired by multicultural Australia, Brazil and beyond.

Now an evolving and blossoming group, ILE ILU has performed at prominent events such as Lost Paradise Festival, Parramatta Lanes, New Beginnings Festival, and venues including Red Rattler and LazyBones Lounge. They are currently in the process of recording their debut album.

Gold is the magic that radiates throughout our bodies, mind, and spirit when the sisters get together to play, laugh, drum and sing! It's the bliss of creating a vibrant celebration full of fiery rhythms, excitement, and fun!
